Happy Face 137, M.I.T., Cambridge, MA, limited edition digital motion NFT (Non-Fungible Token) by Palo Santo.

Also offered as a traditional limited edition photograph.

137 is known to be one of the most mystical numbers. Palo came across this spray painted outside the Picower Institute for Learning and Memory at M.I.T. The man hole cover being an entry point like a rabbit hole down to the electric wires and Internet infrastructure that runs pulsating through the ground. In the ancient tradition of Kabbalah, 137 is known as the Tree of Life. It was a number the renowned psychiatrist Carl Jung (who coined the term synchronicity) discussed with his patient Nobel prize winning physicist Wolfgang Pauli when he discovered the mass constant. Palo discusses in his story how this number began to appear to him and his meeting with the computer scientist Stephen Wolfram who studied with Richard Feynman who also won the Nobel prize and had a sign over his desk that read “Worry about nothing but 137.”

The Red Spiral, Monhegan Island, ME, limited edition digital motion NFT (Non-Fungible Token) by Palo Santo.

This red spiral staircase in the Monhegan Island, ME lighthouse conveys the never ending search upwards towards the light like William Blake’s (1757-1829) painting Jacob’s Ladder. Also known as The Red Road in the Native American community this image is central to the theme in Palo Santo’s artwork of ascending one step at a time.

Mystic Spiral, The Burren, County Clare, Ireland, limited edition digital motion NFT (Non-Fungible Token) by Palo Santo

Also offered as a traditional limited edition photograph.

The Burren is a harsh, rocky, wind swept area on the North East coast of Ireland. The shells that dot the rocks each have a Fibonacci spiral that is echoed in the carvings on the great stones of Newgrange. A path to the Otherworld spirals before us if we choose to enter.
It was on Palo’s second day in Ireland after visiting Newgrange that he captured this image.

The Portal, U.S. tall Ship Eagle with Monhegan Island, Maine in distance, limited edition digital motion NFT (Non-Fungible Token) by Palo Santo.

Also offered as a traditional limited edition photograph.

It was early in the morning when Palo woke up on board the U.S. tall ship Eagle and looked out the portal. The mystical island Monhegan is often described as looking like a whale sitting in the ocean. It may have been the same whale/island that St. Brendan recounts in the 6th century Immram (a class of Old Irish tales concerning a hero’s sea journey). For Palo, the island is a “spiritual weigh station,” as one of the old residents once described it. This portal captures the feeling of arriving on the edge to the Otherworld.

Tree of Life, Monhegan Island, Maine, limited edition digital motion NFT (Non-Fungible Token) by Palo Santo

The digital photograph was taken by Palo Santo during one of the most pivotal moments on his journey. The NFT can be set on a loop setting that allows the viewer a deep meditative experience and contemplative peaceful experience.
